Tour Overview

Our exploration begins at Gabriel García Moreno Park, located in the historic heart of the city. Are you ready to delve into the Ecuadorian capital’s stories, legends, and delectable flavors? Let’s set off!

Initially, we will take in the stunning exterior of the Basilica del Voto Nacional, the largest neo-Gothic church in all of Latin America. Its unique gargoyles display designs inspired by native Ecuadorian wildlife.

We will then spend approximately 20 minutes at the Camilo Egas Art Museum, where we’ll delve into the contributions of indigenous cultures throughout Quito’s history. Here, there will be an opportunity to try on the traditional Devil Huma mask, dance to some Andean music, and savor local Ecuadorian liqueur. Cheers to that!

Once energized, we'll relish a canelazo, a quintessential drink from Quito, available with or without a kick of alcohol. Following that, we will visit a hueca, a quaint eatery famous for homemade delights, where you can sample local Quito sandwiches. Our journey then takes us to the Archbishop's Palace, where we will taste traditional sweets like mistelas and pristiños.

Our next stop is Plaza Grande, the heart of Ecuador's independence movement. Here, we’ll marvel at the Cathedral, the Government Palace, and the historic García Moreno Street, known as the Street of Seven Crosses. Further down, we will explore the Church of the Society of Jesus, a baroque wonder adorned with gold leaf, as well as the former Central Bank, where we will uncover why the dollar is Ecuador's official currency.

A centerpiece of our tour is an exquisite tasting of fine aroma cocoa chocolate, sourced from some of the best beans in the world. A perfect culmination to our culinary journey!

In our final stop at Plaza de San Francisco, you'll hear captivating local legends while soaking in one of Quito's most stunning vistas. We will wrap up this enriching experience after a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
