Tour + Panecillo Experience
Our journey will commence with a view of the exterior of the Basilica of the National Vow. Next, we will proceed to an artisanal chocolate shop where sensory indulgence awaits during a tasting session featuring Ecuadorian cacao.
Following this, we will embark on a walking exploration of Quito's historic center, recognized as a World Heritage Site. This area is sure to enchant you with its plazas and architecture. Notable sites include the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco, where we will tour its museum, choir, brewery, and ascend its bell tower for breathtaking vistas.
To wrap up our excursion, we will ascend to the viewpoint of the Virgin of El Panecillo by vehicle, one of the city’s iconic locations that boasts stunning panoramas of both northern and southern Quito.
Tour + Basilica & Hotel Quiteño Experience
Opting for this variant allows us to enter the Basilica of the National Vow, where we will marvel at its rose windows, Torres del Cóndor, and intricately designed clocks. From this vantage point, unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes await you.
Like the previous option, our next destination will be an artisanal chocolate shop where you can sample various chocolate types and gain insights into Ecuadorian cacao, renowned worldwide for its quality.
We'll continue on the same path, wandering through the streets of the historic center until we arrive at Plaza Grande, also known as Independence Square. Here, a visit to the Hotel Quiteño, an elegant establishment, will introduce you to a Cucurucho, a traditional figure associated with Quiteño Easter, who will present you with a traditional dessert.
Finally, as we bid farewell, we will admire the exterior of the Basilica and Convent of San Francisco while sharing an intriguing legend of Quito, concluding our experience with a traditional snack, available in both sweet and savory options.
