On this boat ride, an opportunity to discover the capital of Latvia awaits from a unique perspective. The journey will take place on the peaceful waters of the Riga Canal and the grand Daugava River, allowing for close views of its main monuments.

Activity Details

At the specified time, we will gather at the Bastejkalna Park to commence our boat ride along the Riga Canal and the Daugava River. Get ready to embark!

During the cruise along the canal, participants will be surrounded by some of the city’s most pivotal landmarks, including the Freedom Monument, a significant symbol of Riga that honors Latvia's independence.

The journey will also lead us past the Latvian National Opera, an architectural gem from the 18th century, adjacent to the memorial of renowned ballet dancer Maris Liepa. Additionally, the route will showcase Sp??eri, a historical area once characterized by cargo warehouses that has been revitalized into a contemporary cultural hub.

Continuing into the Daugava River, we'll be treated to views of the Old Town, featuring the Riga Castle on one side and the sleek design of the Latvian National Library on the other. The iconic towers of St. Peter's Church, Riga Cathedral, and St. James Cathedral will also be in sight.
