Around the designated time, we will collect you from your selected rendezvous point in Riohacha and embark on our exciting journey. A scenic drive of approximately one hour will lead us to our first stop, the magnificent Manaure Salt Flats.

This region is affectionately referred to as the white bride of Colombia, and during our visit, you’ll discover the fascinating reasons for this nickname while marveling at the impressive salt mounds surrounding us. We will delve into the methods of salt extraction as we observe the industrial and traditional pink-tinged ponds and pools.

Next, we will pause for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. You will have the choice of savoring a dish featuring fish, chicken, beef, or a hearty salad.

After enjoying your meal, we will proceed to the Los Flamencos Flora and Fauna Sanctuary. Here, a leisurely walk along the trails will grant us views of an extensive array of bird species that contribute to the sanctuary’s reputation. This protected area is renowned as one of the most diverse habitats for aquatic birds.

You will witness the distribution of these birds across various ecosystems within the sanctuary, including the mangroves, the tropical dry forest, coastal lagoons, and the surrounding desert landscapes.

After a fulfilling 7-hour exploration of these remarkable sites, we will return to your starting location in Riohacha where we will bid you farewell.
