Route through Ancient Rome
This itinerary reveals the historical treasures of the city founded by Romulus and Remus, highlighting its most significant landmarks.
We will begin by circling the iconic Colosseum, a true emblem of Rome, before visiting the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, which houses the famous chains of the apostle and Michelangelo’s statue of Moses.
Wandering through the Imperial Forums, immerse yourself in history surrounded by temples, triumphal arches, and ancient basilicas. The tour progresses towards the Theatre of Marcellus, a remarkable structure from the era of Augustus, before crossing Piazza Venezia to view the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II, an emblem of Italy's unity.
The journey concludes at the stunning Piazza del Campidoglio, offering one of the finest panoramic vistas of Rome.
Route through Baroque Rome
This path emphasizes the magnificence of Baroque architecture and the elegance of its monuments. We’ll commence at Piazza di Spagna, with its graceful Spanish Steps leading to Trinità dei Monti, and continue on to the Trevi Fountain, a timeless symbol of the city and a masterpiece of urban design.
At Piazza della Pietra, we will enjoy the columns of the Temple of Hadrian, harmoniously integrated with 18th-century aesthetics, before proceeding to Palazzo Madama, currently the seat of the Italian Senate.
Next, we will visit the Pantheon, an enduring marvel that has influenced numerous Baroque artists. Finally, Piazza Navona will greet us like an open-air theatre, where Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers interacts with Borromini’s Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone.
Route through Artistic Rome
Rome has historically served as an inspiration for countless artists who have left their legacy across its streets and landmarks. Our exploration begins at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the city’s oldest churches, famous for its stunning 12th-century golden mosaics. Did you know that one of the first Christian masses in Rome was celebrated here?
We’ll wander through the Trastevere neighborhood, where the aroma of coffee mingles with freshly baked goods and the sounds of local artisans at work fill the air.
Afterwards, we will ascend to the Gianicolo (Janiculum Hill) to capture one of the most breathtaking views of the Eternal City. Our next stop will be the historic Jewish Quarter, where echoes of the past can be felt within the Portico of Octavia and the Great Synagogue of Rome, symbols of resilience and harmony. We’ll also pass by Tiber Island, a serene oasis on the river.
Route along the Ancient Appian Way
This tour will take you along the most significant thoroughfare of Ancient Rome, the Appian Way. Known as the Regina Viarum, or "Queen of Roads," it was the first major Roman highway, linking the capital to southern Italy and facilitating the movement of legions and merchants.
During our journey, we’ll view the majestic Baths of Caracalla and the evocative Church of Domine Quo Vadis, believed to be the site where Christ appeared to Peter. We’ll then venture underground to explore the intriguing Catacombs (you will have the choice of which to visit) and wander through the remnants of the Villa and Circus of Maxentius, before concluding at the Tomb of Cecilia Metella, a tribute to a noble Roman woman from the 1st century BC.
