As scheduled, we will meet you at your accommodation in Runaway Bay to set off on this exciting journey to explore Konoko Falls and the Green Grotto Caves. Are you ready to embark on this adventure?

Our first destination will be the Green Grotto Caves, located a mere 15 minutes away. You'll enjoy around 1.5 hours to freely navigate through this awe-inspiring network of limestone caves, complete with subterranean pools and fascinating geological features at your leisure.

This cave system served as a sanctuary for the Taíno, the island’s original inhabitants, as well as for Spanish settlers who found refuge here during the 17th-century British invasion. While exploring this captivating location, you will gain insights into the geology and historical context of the area.

Following our exploration of the caves, we will proceed to Konoko Falls, a magnificent area filled with flourishing greenery, breathtaking waterfalls, and scenic walking paths. The term Konoko is derived from the Taíno word for forest.

You will also have 1.5 hours of leisure time to wander through the botanical garden, home to a diverse range of tropical plants. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pools and observe local bird species, such as the Jamaican barn owl and the mountain raven.

Before concluding our day, we will visit a nearby restaurant, allowing you one hour to savor a delightful meal of authentic Jamaican cuisine.
