5-Day Journey through Madidi Park and Yacuma Pampas

Day 1

Your adventure begins with a pick-up at the designated meeting location, followed by a transfer to the dock where a spacious boat awaits with a panoramic open-top deck.

Your journey will take you along the serene Beni and Tuichi rivers straight to the Mashaquipe Ecolodge, nestled deep within the jungle. As you sail, absorb the stunning vistas of Bala Canyon and observe the incredible range of wildlife and vegetation found in one of the planet's most biodiverse areas.

Upon arrival at the eco-friendly lodge, a delightful meal will restore your energy. Afterwards, we’ll delve further into Madidi Park, where you may spot wildlife such as lively spider monkeys and impressive wild boars.

As night approaches, we will retreat to our cabins for dinner and rest.

Day 2

The second day begins with a hearty breakfast featuring traditional Bolivian fare. Afterward, we’ll equip ourselves with daysacks and embark on a four-hour hike through the vibrant Amazon jungle, reaching the Arenalito refuge for a well-deserved rest and meal.

Post-lunch, we scale a mountain renowned for its diverse bird species, including vibrant parrots and stunning macaws. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views at sunset over the majestic landscapes of Madidi Park.

As darkness envelops the jungle, we’ll traverse winding paths to uncover creatures that thrive after dusk, such as jaguars. We will conclude this exhilarating day by camping in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

Day 3

Awakening before dawn, we will take a short hike, savoring the tranquility of the early morning as the sun rises over the Amazon.

Following breakfast, our trek will lead us to the Tuichi River, where we’ll collaborate with an expert to construct a traditional raft for our return journey along the river to the Mashaquipe Ecolodge.

The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, discovering the beauty of the Bolivian jungle at your own pace.

Day 4

After a sunrise breakfast, we’ll embark in a 4x4 vehicle to the quaint town of Santa Rosa del Yacuma. During our ride, enjoy the varied local flora and fauna alongside picturesque regional landscapes.

Once there, we’ll board a boat heading to Las Tortugas Ecolodge, where a warm welcome and a delicious meal await us.

In the afternoon, we set sail down the Yacuma River, immersing ourselves in the stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, including lizards, caimans, exotic birds, turtles, and the unique capybara. If conditions permit, you’ll have the chance to swim alongside the remarkable pink dolphins, native to Bolivia.

We’ll return to the ecolodge for a delightful meal and a well-earned rest.

Day 5

As the jungle remains at peace, you will awaken to the serene sounds of nature and witness a stunning Amazon sunrise.

After breakfast, we’ll engage in a jungle trek aimed at discovering the area’s magnificent anacondas and other exotic wildlife.

As your unforgettable journey comes to a close, an afternoon farewell meal will be served before we head back to the town of Rurrenabaque, concluding this extraordinary 5-day adventure.
