Day Tour to Barreirinhas + Preguiças River Boat Journey

This choice involves a 4-hour journey from your São Luís accommodation to Barreirinhas. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a 30-minute break to relax and prepare for the exciting adventures ahead.

After our short pause, we will embark on a boat ride along the Preguiças River. As we navigate this picturesque waterway, recognized as a primary access point to the Lençóis Maranhenses, we will pass through Vassouras, an area characterized by dunes and freshwater lagoons.

Our journey continues to Mandacaru, a renowned fishing village steeped in tradition, where we will share fascinating insights during the ride. Next, we will arrive at Caburé, a sandy peninsula where the river converges with the Atlantic Ocean. You’ll have an hour of leisure time here to unwind and savor any snacks you may have brought.

We will then return by boat to Barreirinhas, where we will board a minibus for the trip back to your accommodation or the airport, concluding approximately at 9 pm.

After your pickup from the hotel, we will drive for 4 hours to Barreirinhas. Once in the city center, you'll have 1.5 hours to explore and enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries.

Following our break, we will gather to commence a thrilling off-road vehicle experience through the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Prepare to be enchanted by the stunning white sand dunes that this area is famous for!

During the tour, you'll encounter undulating sand hills and sparkling lagoons, which create a spectacular contrast with the vibrant green fields and palm trees that characterize this stunning region.

As our adventure concludes, we will depart from Barreirinhas and make our way to your hotel or the airport, arriving around 11 pm.
