Ibirapuera Park Tour
Description
During this guided exploration of Ibirapuera Park, participants will discover the primary green area of São Paulo, which boasts an array of museums, planetariums, and sports amenities. Experience the city's green oasis!
Tour Overview
On the designated day of the excursion, our meeting point will be at the entrance of Ibirapuera Park, where our walking journey will commence to unveil the major sights of this lush area. Let’s begin!
Our first destination will be the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), affiliated with the University of São Paulo. Though we won’t tour its interior, we’ll be treated to its breathtaking viewpoint that offers a magnificent panoramic perspective of the park.
Next, we’ll stroll towards the sculpture garden, which houses the serene Japanese Garden. This remarkable space was a gift from the Japanese government in honor of the 400 years of São Paulo—a true architectural treasure and a peaceful retreat within the park.
Our journey will then take us to the planetarium, notable for its unique design. We will also visit the Ibirapuera Metal Bridge, a favored spot for photographers capturing the beauty of the park.
As we progress, we'll make our way to the old sawmill, passing through the enchanting bamboo tunnel, leading to a serene area where many locals engage in yoga and martial arts. This location emanates a remarkable calmness!
To conclude our tour, we’ll explore the Manequinho Lopes nursery, showcasing an impressive variety of 200 plant species—an authentic display of nature's beauty!
After spending 2 hours and 15 minutes delving into the wonders of Ibirapuera Park, our guided adventure will conclude at the nursery.
