Whale Watching in Samaná + Cayo Levantado
Description
Whale watching, a journey to the renowned El Limón waterfall, unwinding at Cayo Levantado... Does this sound enticing? Experience an extraordinary day in Samaná Bay with this excursion departing from Sabana de la Mar.
Whale Watching Overview
We will start our adventure by picking you up from your accommodation in Sabana de la Mar at the agreed time. Prepare yourself for a day immersed in stunning natural scenery, as we set sail to observe whales in the Samaná Bay.
First, we will head to the pier to board a catamaran that will glide over the captivating waters of Samaná, recognized as one of the prime locations in the Dominican Republic for humpback whale sightings. During our boat journey, you will have the chance to witness these magnificent creatures in their habitat, as they jump through the waves, swish their tails, and sing.
After spending approximately 2.5 hours on the water, our next destination will be Cayo Levantado. We will transfer to a speedboat at the Santa Bárbara Pier, which will swiftly take us to this picturesque island in just 15 minutes. This serene location offers an ideal setting to sunbathe and unwind.
On Cayo Levantado, we will savor a delicious buffet-style lunch, featuring a selection of fresh seafood, rice, and tropical beverages. Relish every bite!
With our appetites satisfied, we will reboard the catamaran to begin the return journey to Sabana de la Mar. Along this route, we will enhance our experience by enjoying a breathtaking sunset over Samaná Bay.
Finally, we will drop you back at your hotel, concluding this 8.5-hour adventure.
Tour + Visit to El Limón Waterfall

In this case, after our whale-watching segment, we will return to shore and embark on an exhilarating ride in an off-roading vehicle to El Limón Waterfall. As we arrive at an estate, you can choose to continue our adventure either on foot along a marked trail or on horseback.
