Tour Overview

We’ll start by collecting you from the Saint George port or your accommodation at the designated time. Once everyone is gathered, we will make our way to our first stop: the vibrant Spice Market in Saint George. This charming Caribbean locale is often celebrated as “the island of spices”, a fitting introduction to the region.

As we step into the lively market, the rich scents of nutmeg, cinnamon, and turmeric will immerse us in Grenada's rich cultural tapestry. Did you know that nutmeg's significance is so great that it features on the island's flag? Here, we will also discover an array of local crafts and the delicious fruits cultivated in the region.

Our next destination will be Fort Frederick, notable for its unusual backward design intended for internal defense strategies. From its towering walls, we will enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the city of Saint George, the bustling port, and the sparkling Caribbean Sea. As we navigate through its corridors, we will share intriguing tales about the historical battles and defense strategies that shaped Grenada’s history.

Following this, we will visit the Tri-Island chocolate factory, where we will observe the meticulous process of crafting cocoa into delightful chocolate bars. Despite its small size, Grenada ranks as one of the globe’s top producers of premium cocoa, and we will be fortunate to sample this indulgent treat directly from one of its finest factories!

Next, we head to the tranquil Grand Etang National Park. Here, we will spend thirty minutes traversing its lush rainforest until we arrive at Grand Etang Lake, a serene volcanic crater. If we’re lucky, we might spot Cercopithecus mona, monkeys believed to have made their journey across the Atlantic with early settlers from West Africa. Keep your eyes peeled for movement among the trees!

Our final destination is the breathtaking Annandale Falls, where we’ll spend over thirty minutes unwinding to the soothing sounds of cascading water. Adventurous souls may choose to take a dip in its refreshing natural pool. The local divers often inspire us with their thrilling leaps from the surrounding heights.

At the end of our journey, we will return to Saint George and part ways, ensuring you are comfortably dropped off at your hotel, approximately four hours after our initial pickup.
