At the designated meeting time, we will gather at Paseo Delicias ("Delicias Street") to embark on a guided tour of a ham drying facility in Villares de la Reina.

Upon our arrival, we will head to the Experience Room, where a brief introductory video will provide insights into the factory's history and its founder. The essential processes of cutting, salting, curing, and processing of Iberian ham will be covered before the product reaches the market.

You will gain knowledge on how to distinguish various types of Iberian ham based on the breed of pigs and their feeding practices. Would you be able to identify the differences without attending this informative session? Let's see!

We will then don the required gear to tour the rest of the facility and explore the craftsmanship behind this exquisite ham. The province of Salamanca is particularly celebrated for its rich culinary heritage, especially its charcuterie.

Afterward, we will return to the Experience Room for a tasting of 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham alongside a variety of local sausages. This delightful tasting will be complemented by a glass of wine from the Salamanca mountains. An unforgettable gastronomic experience awaits!

Following a 2.5-hour visit, we will conclude our time together at the factory's main entrance.
