Activity Details

At the scheduled time, our meeting point will be the main square in Salento, where we will board a Willys Jeep, an iconic Colombian vehicle, for our journey to the Luger coffee farm. Are you ready to embark on this adventure?

Upon arrival, we will begin our exploration of the hacienda, diving into the coffee production journey, from bean to cup. Our first steps will include observing the techniques of planting and harvesting, where we'll pick ripe coffee cherries directly from the bushes.

Next, we will venture into the coffee fields to plant our own beans and gather freshly grown coffee cherries. Following this hands-on experience, we will learn about the intricate processes of drying, roasting, and grinding the beans, most of which are still performed traditionally by hand.

After exploring this vibrant coffee-producing region, we will sit down for a guided tasting session. Here, local baristas will assist us in recognizing the distinctive traits of premium Colombian coffee. By the end of our tasting, you will feel like a coffee connoisseur!

Finally, we'll journey back to our initial meeting point, concluding our experience in approximately 4 hours.
