At the appointed time, a member of our team will meet you at your accommodation in San Agustín to embark on an engaging journey through this fascinating region of Colombia. Our first destination will be the Estrecho del Magdalena, renowned as the most significant river in the nation. This river winds its way from the country’s southern tip to the Caribbean coast.
Next, we will proceed to the Obando Museum and Archaeological Park, celebrated for its extensive indigenous archaeological heritage. Here, you'll have a chance to observe underground burial sites, cave art, and an array of prehispanic artifacts.
Our journey will then take us to the Alto de los Ídolos Archaeological Park, a site recognized as a World Heritage Site. This remarkable location features 23 statues that highlight the significance of the archaeological area of San Agustín.
Additionally, we will visit the Alto de las Piedras Archaeological Park, notable for preserving the original artworks of its sculptures.
The final leg of our tour will be the visit to the Salto del Mortiño Waterfall, a stunning natural haven highlighted by a waterfall that plunges over 200 metres (656 feet). From the Glass viewpoint, visitors can admire a breathtaking and unparalleled vista of the waterfall.
After a fulfilling 8-hour exploration of this incredible region, we will return you to your hotel.
