During this day at the Tierra Activa farm, you will have the opportunity to connect with a local family who will guide you through their agricultural lifestyle. This experience allows you to delve into their traditions, the surrounding land, and rural customs.

Tierra Activa Farm Experience

Upon arrival at the Tierra Activa farm, you will be warmly welcomed by the hosts, a mother and her daughter, who will greet you with seasonal fruits just picked from their orchard.

Your adventure will begin with a thorough exploration of farm life. You will tour the kitchen, featuring a traditional wood stove, where you can observe the preparation of a typical dish known as sancocho, a hearty stew.

Equipped with hats, baskets, machetes, and walking sticks, we will stroll along the farm’s pathways while discovering the various uses of the abundant vegetables and plants. You will also get the chance to taste fresh fruits and climb up to a treehouse, where you can admire the breathtaking landscapes of the Huila region from above.

Throughout the tour, you will witness the cultivation process of the plants and gather with the group to listen as the guide offers gratitude to the Pachamama, honoring the Earth for nurturing the crops.

Post-ceremony, we will explore the farm's herb gardens and medicinal plant areas, culminating with a visit to Tierra Activa's coffee plantation to learn about how the coffee beans are fermented, sorted, and dried.

To conclude this flavorful journey, you will enjoy a cup of organic coffee or cocoa, paired with bread and homemade arepas. For those who opt for the meal package, a menu featuring fresh farm produce will be served.

This enriching experience will wrap up two hours after we commence the tour, allowing you to say farewell to your hosts.
