Day Trip to San Andrés Cays
Description
The cays of San Andrés represent a true slice of paradise. Experience these stunning locations on this excursion and explore Johnny Cay, the most renowned spot in the Colombian Caribbean!
Day Trip to San Andrés Cays
Your adventure begins at the Muelle Casa de la Cultura, where we will embark on a journey through the natural gems of the San Andrés archipelago. Are you ready to witness these breathtaking sights firsthand?
We will proceed to the dock, where a motorboat awaits to take us on an exciting tour around the cays of San Andrés and nearby attractions.
Our inaugural stop will be at Islote Sucre, commonly referred to as Johnny Cay, situated to the north of San Andrés. Here, you will have 3 hours of leisure time to wade in the crystalline waters and savor dishes from the local gastronomy as you relax among swaying palms and pristine sands.
Next, we will navigate to Cayo Acuario, an expansive sandbar known for its rich marine biodiversity—a fantastic spot for snorkeling!
Following 3 hours of bliss in Cayo Acuario, we will embark on a 10-minute scenic boat journey through the mangroves of Old Point, a unique ecosystem typical of this coastal region of Colombia. Enjoy a pleasant sailing experience across the bay of San Andrés, embracing the Caribbean breeze and taking in the remarkable vistas of the archipelago.
In conclusion, we will return to the port and disembark, with our arrival back at the Casa de la Cultura pier occurring approximately 6 hours after we set out.
