Rancho Nuevo & El Arcotete Experience

Upon your selected time, our team will greet you at your accommodation in San Cristóbal de las Casas and begin our adventure to two of the area's distinctive natural landmarks: the Rancho Nuevo Ecopark and El Arcotete.

Within a brief 20-minute drive, we will reach the Rancho Nuevo Ecotourism Park, where you can immerse yourself in breathtaking views of winding trails adorned with conifers. During our visit to the ecopark, we will explore remarkable caves, which were uncovered in 1547. This extensive system extends more than 10 kilometers underground, featuring striking stalactites and stalagmites. We will traverse a 750-meter pathway while discovering the fascinating history of this remarkable geological formation.

Following the cave exploration, you will enjoy 40 minutes of free time to wander around and soak in the surroundings at your own pace. Next on our itinerary is the El Arcotete Ecotourism Park, a stunning area filled with pines, cypresses, and oaks.

While here, we’ll marvel at the renowned 50-meter-high limestone arch over the Fogótico River, a spectacular testament to nature's artistry! If you observe closely, you may be able to identify the captivating caves located above the arch and appreciate their unique formations.

As our four-hour tour concludes, we will return you to your hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas.
