At the scheduled time, transportation will be provided from your hotel in San Cristóbal de las Casas, embarking on a scenic 1-hour drive toward Chiapa's capital, Tuxtla Gutiérrez. Are you eager to explore the city's main highlight?

The adventure begins with a visit to the Cristo de Copoya, a significant emblem of Tuxtla Gutiérrez and a defined symbol of the area. This impressive monumental cross, which encapsulates a profile of Jesus Christ inside, rises to a height of 203 feet (62 meters), marking it as the largest cross in the nation. Here, we will take in the breathtaking views of the city and its diverse landscape for an hour.

Next, we will continue our journey with a brief 20-minute drive to the Zoológico Miguel Álvarez del Toro, known locally as ZOOMAT. Here, we'll spend approximately 2.5 hours exploring one of Latin America's premier zoos, recognized for its dedication to conserving local flora and fauna. The ZOOMAT exclusively houses species indigenous to Chiapa, such as scarlet macaws, white-tailed deer, jaguars, pumas, and Mexican spider monkeys—get ready for a close-up encounter with Chiapa's native wildlife!
