Description

Embark on a scenic ride around the bay on this San Francisco Bike Tour. Enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island as you navigate through the city.

Activity Overview

The adventure begins at the San Francisco Port, where participants will receive their bikes along with essential safety gear for a pleasant ride.

Your journey kicks off in the port vicinity, allowing you to appreciate the charm of Aquatic Park and the historic Fort Mason military base. From there, the route leads to the vibrant Marina district, known for its lively bars and eateries, serving as a prime spot to capture stunning views of both the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.

Continuing on, you'll approach the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, a landmark connecting the San Francisco peninsula with Marin County, spanning almost 3 kilometers (2 miles). It’s fascinating to note that prior to its construction, the only way to traverse the bay was via ferry.

After cycling 13 kilometers (8 miles), you’ll reach Sausalito, a charming fishing town renowned for its floating homes and as a retreat for numerous notable personalities.

The tour concludes in Sausalito, where you’ll have the option to return to San Francisco on your own via ferry.

Electric Bike Tour Option

For those interested, an electric bike tour is also available. Participants will gather at the same initial meeting point and commence the ride at Fisherman's Wharf Water Park.

The tour will then venture across the historic Golden Gate Bridge, offering stunning vistas of San Francisco Bay and its surroundings.

Upon completing the 3-hour journey, the electric bike tour will also end in Sausalito.
