Yosemite National Park Day Trip
Description
On this tour, we'll explore the most famous national park in the United States, uncovering its secrets including its giant sequoia groves, the tallest trees in the world.
Day Trip Details
After picking you up from your selected meeting point, we will depart from the city and head east on an unforgettable journey to Yosemite National Park.
The drive takes approximately 4 hours, during which we will traverse the Sierra Nevada Mountains and pass through historic western towns and gold rush towns. Along the way, learn about John Muir's significant contributions to establishing America's first protected wilderness area.
Upon arrival in Yosemite, we will stop at the Tunnel View overlook for photo opportunities. Here, witness extraordinary sights such as the granite formations of Half Dome, the Cathedral Peak mountain range, and the revered Bridalveil Falls, celebrated by the Ahwahneechee.
Following this, at the Yosemite Valley Lodge, you will have free time for lunch and the chance to explore the park at your own pace. Suggested activities include a walk to Yosemite Falls, a stroll through Cook's Meadow, or relaxing by the Merced River.
After regrouping, we will drive past El Capitan Meadow, the largest granite monolith in the world, known for its challenging climbs. Our next stop will be at the Valley View overlook, where stunning views of the Merced River and Cathedral Rocks await.
The final stop in Yosemite National Park will be the Giant Sequoia Grove (Tuolumne Grove), featuring the largest trees on the planet. Here resides the Grizzly Giant Sequoia, one of the largest sequoias in existence, measuring nearly 30 meters (98 feet) in circumference at its base.
Itinerary Changes
For safety reasons, during the winter months from November to March, and in any circumstances where weather conditions are not favorable, the hike through Tuolumne Grove may be replaced with additional time in Yosemite Valley.
