Costa Rica 13-Day Tour

Day 1: San José

Your journey begins as we greet you at the arrivals terminal of Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in San José. With 13 days of exploration ahead, take the chance to rest and rejuvenate!

Day 2: San José - Tortuguero

As dawn breaks, we set off from San José, heading towards Braulio Carrillo National Park, where we'll pause for a delightful breakfast at a local eatery. Shortly after, we’ll arrive at Tortuguero National Park and embark on a scenic boat journey through its captivating rivers and canals.

Upon reaching the lodge, take some time to enjoy lunch. Following this meal, we will continue our exploration of Tortuguero, wandering through the town and immersing ourselves in the local culture as we observe the turtle community residing in the area!

Later, we’ll return for dinner and prepare for the following day.

Day 3: Tortuguero National Park

On the third day, revel in a leisurely morning at the hotel. You’ll be free to unwind by the pool and have lunch at your convenience. In the afternoon, we’ll engage in an excursion to Tortuguero National Park, which boasts rich flora and over 350 species of protected wildlife!

We’ll return to our lodge for dinner and a restful evening.

Day 4: Tortuguero - Arenal

After breakfast, we’ll depart the hotel and board a boat traveling to Guápiles. Following a lunch stop at a local restaurant, we’ll continue on to Arenal, where the remainder of the day is yours to explore the surroundings at your own pace.

Day 5: Arenal Volcano National Park

Following breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head out to Arenal Volcano National Park. Here, you will discover the captivating features of the iconic Arenal Volcano. Witness stunning greenery and enjoy the chance to spot diverse wildlife, including sloths, howler monkeys, and anteaters in their natural habitat!

After a fulfilling day, we’ll return to the hotel, leaving you free time for the evening.

Day 6: Arenal - Monteverde

After breakfast, we leave Arenal behind for a scenic journey to Monteverde. En route, we’ll take a boat ride across Lake Arenal. Once we arrive, marvel at the stunning vistas of coffee farms and cloud forests, a completely new landscape from our starting point!

The afternoon is your time to freely explore the local area.

Day 7: Monteverde

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we’ll embark on a hike through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve—a vital private reserve globally. During our trek, look forward to encountering various mammals, birds, butterflies, reptiles, and arachnids native to this beautiful region of Costa Rica.

The day concludes with our return to the hotel for a restful night.

Day 8: Monteverde - Pacific Coast - Tamarindo

On day eight, we’ll focus on relaxation by the sea. Following breakfast, we will transport you to Tamarindo, one of the most sought-after beach destinations nestled along the Pacific Coast in Guanacaste. You’ll have plenty of leisure time to sunbathe and enjoy a swim before we head to the hotel in Tamarindo for the evening.

Day 9: Tamarindo

It’s time for some leisure! Day nine grants you the entire day free to enjoy the sun and surf at Tamarindo's picturesque beaches. Make the most of it!

Day 10: Tamarindo

Continue soaking up the sun! You’ll have another full day to appreciate the stunning beaches of Costa Rica, giving you ample time to unwind.

Day 11: Tamarindo

Keep enjoying what Tamarindo has to offer. The day is yours to explore and relax.

Day 12: Tamarindo - San José

As your time in Tamarindo comes to a close, we’ll depart after breakfast and head back to San José. Upon your arrival, you’ll have an opportunity to independently explore the Costa Rican capital.

Day 13: San José

After breakfast, we’ll return you to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your flight home.
