Day Trip to Manuel Antonio National Park
Upon your selected pickup time, we'll meet you at your accommodation in San José and begin our journey towards Manuel Antonio National Park by road. As we travel, you'll enjoy views of charming Costa Rican villages and expansive African palm plantations.
During the trip, we’ll take a break for breakfast at a nearby restaurant close to the country’s largest fruit market. After refueling, we’ll set off once more, and after approximately 2.5 hours, we will reach the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. Here, we will cross a stream and enter this stunning nature reserve, where picturesque beaches with clear waters await.
Manuel Antonio is renowned as one of the most famous national parks in Costa Rica and boasts significant biodiversity. As we explore, keep an eye out for native flora, including black guanipol, ceiba, and cenízaro trees, along with mangroves and manchineel trees.
Be prepared to encounter the park's native wildlife as well. Look for monkeys, sloths, toucans, and agoutis among the impressive array of endemic species in Manuel Antonio National Park! In addition to its mammals, the park is a haven for a wide variety of bird species, showcasing tropical avian life.
After completing our guided tour, you will have approximately 3 hours of leisure time to explore and relax on the beautiful beaches. Following your beach time, we’ll savor a delicious traditional lunch at a local dining establishment.
Concluding the tour, we’ll return you to your hotel in San José, wrapping up this engaging 12-hour excursion.

- Please note that plastic bottles are not permitted inside Manuel Antonio National Park. You can bring water in reusable bottles, such as glass ones. Food is also not permitted.
- After the walk, you'll have around 3 hours of free time to enjoy the beaches of the national park.
