Activity Details

At the designated time, we will collect you from your accommodation as we embark on a journey of roughly 5 hours heading north. The route allows you to experience the lush, undulating scenery of the Central Valley, adorned with cattle ranches, coffee farms, and pineapple plantations.

Midway through our drive, we will pause for around 1 hour in Sarchí, a location famed for its status as a cultural heritage site in Costa Rica.

This charming village is renowned for its vividly painted wooden crafts and traditional ox carts embellished with intricate floral and geometric designs. During this break, we’ll take time to visit a local artisan workshop, allowing you to observe skilled craftsmen in action and perhaps purchase genuine local art.

You will also have the chance to view the largest ox cart globally, measuring 15 meters (49 ft) and noted in the Guinness Book of Records.

After our visit, we will proceed to La Fortuna, passing by farmland and quaint rural communities until the magnificent Arenal Volcano comes into view.

We will conclude the journey by dropping you off at La Fortuna’s central park or your hotel, as long as it’s located on the main thoroughfare.
