Details of the Activity

Your experience begins at the Laguna del Condado Profesor Jaime Benítez Rexach National Park, where we will gather at the scheduled time to launch our kayak excursion. You will be provided with all essential gear, along with an overview of safety protocols and foundational paddling techniques.

Once equipped, we shall set off in our double kayaks, gliding through the tranquil lagoon as we take in the stunning vistas of the San Juan shoreline.

Throughout the paddle, insightful narratives about the evolution of Condado from a quiet residential neighborhood to a vibrant tourist hub will be shared. You will also learn about the ecological importance of the mangroves and its diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for manatees and various birds that may be spotted along the way!

As we navigate past the Puente Dos Hermanos and the Fortín de San Gerónimo de Boquerón, both dating back to the 18th century, you will discover intriguing details about their historical significance and their role in the Colonial period defense of the city.

As the sun descends, the lagoon transforms into an enchanting backdrop, and as night envelops us, we'll provide glow accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, and neon paint that illuminate in the dark, enhancing your experience under the stars.

After approximately one hour of kayaking, we will arrive at Playita del Condado, where you can partake in a lively salsa class. No dance experience? No problem! For the next hour, you’ll learn fundamental steps and a short routine while the upbeat tropical music energizes you next to the lagoon. A memorable time awaits!

Finally, we will make our way back to the starting point, where we will conclude the outing after a total duration of two hours.
