Day Trip to El Yunque National Rainforest

At the scheduled time, our team will collect you from your hotel in San Juan, and we will begin our adventure towards the island's eastern region. For approximately 40 minutes, you’ll enjoy the passing scenery until we reach the enchanting El Yunque National Rainforest.

Upon arrival, we'll observe a significant mudslide resulting from Hurricane Maria in 2017 before ascending to the rainforest's highest point. Standing at 3,510 feet (1,070 meters), Toro Peak promises breathtaking vistas of the Caribbean Sea.

We will then embark on a 25-minute walk along the rainforest trails, where, with a stroke of luck, you might catch a glimpse of a red-tailed hawk, a species endemic to this region. Throughout the trek, you’ll gain insights into the unique flora and fauna that thrive in this lush ecosystem.

Traversing the verdant surroundings is a rewarding experience, leading to the stunning waterfalls and natural pools of El Yunque. Interestingly, this spot was once a well-kept secret among locals. Here, you can enjoy a refreshing swim, and for the adventurous, there’s the option to leap from the waterfall into the cool waters below.

At the conclusion of this memorable tour, we will return you to your hotel, completing the experience approximately 6 hours after we began.
