Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Main Park of San Rafael, in front of the church. From there, we'll board a vehicle that will take us to the starting point of the horseback ride.

After a 40-minute drive, we'll prepare with the necessary equipment and a brief introduction to familiarize ourselves with the horses and the route. We'll begin the ride by crossing the mountains of Guatapé, following the trails through the subtropical rainforest.

Along the way, we will pass by the Arenal River, the waterfall at El Tesoro Creek, and the Hidden Pool of Guatapé. It’s common to spot brightly colored birds and hear the distant murmur of water.

The ride covers about 10 km (6.21 mi) and won’t be entirely on horseback. We will alternate riding with strategic stops to relax, swim, and cool off. The waterfalls will provide refreshing sights and sounds along the way.

Halfway through the day, we will stop for 1 hour at a restaurant in the forest to enjoy a typical lunch consisting of cold meats or tamal.

After lunch, we'll finish the horseback ride and return by vehicle to San Rafael. We will conclude the tour at the original meeting point after 6 hours of adventure.
