When booking this hiking experience, you have two options available. Both choices include transportation from your hotel in Salvador de Jujuy and conclude at a designated spot.

7-hour Hiking Experience

Departing from San Salvador de Jujuy, our adventure toward the Jordan hot springs kicks off with a bus ride showcasing the picturesque Calilegua National Park. By late morning, we reach the charming town of San Francisco, where we begin our scenic hike toward the welcoming turquoise pools of the hot springs.

Upon arrival at this enchanting oasis, you'll discover it's nestled within a cool, mountainous jungle, providing an extraordinary natural backdrop. Here, you're invited to indulge in the soothing and revitalizing waters.

There will also be plenty of time for you to savor lunch at one of the local eateries before we head back to our original meeting point.

12-hour Hiking Experience

Once you're picked up from your hotel in Salvador de Jujuy, we will set off toward the quaint town of San Francisco.

Exploring the town, we'll delve into the rich history of its inhabitants. At the edge of the town, we will commence a 700-meter descent (2,296 feet) through the vibrant jungle. This path leads us to a stunning viewpoint, allowing us a brief stop to gaze out over the horizon at the Jordan hot springs with their captivating turquoise waters.

Upon reaching the Jordan hot springs, enjoy some leisure time in the soothing natural pools. Remarkably, these waters are rich in minerals that confer various health benefits, including sulfur. Make sure to spend at least an hour relishing these therapeutic baths.

Afterward, take some time to enjoy a leisurely lunch at a nearby campsite. Once you're reenergized, we'll begin our ascent to the La Cruz Mayor viewpoint, situated at an altitude of 800 meters (2,624 feet) above sea level.

The hiking experience extends beyond the La Cruz Mayor viewpoint, guiding us to La Cara del Indio—an ancient carving in the rock shaped by the elements of nature. As we wrap up the tour and return to San Salvador, we will also make a stop at the Monument to the Pachamama.
