San Salvador Night Tour
Description
Experience the convergence of history, culture, and breathtaking scenery on this evening excursion in San Salvador, where the city’s landmarks come alive under the glow of night.
Details of the Evening Tour
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in San Salvador at the arranged time, after which we will board a vehicle to explore the illuminated avenues of the city. Are you prepared to embark on this nocturnal journey through the capital?
We will first drive past the Plaza Salvador del Mundo, a vibrant square adorned with colorful lights that enhance the grandeur of the statue centralized within.
Next, we'll visit the Parque del Principito, also known as the "Little Prince" Theme Park. Here, we will take a moment to admire the Escultura de la Rosa (Rose Sculpture), influenced by Consuelo Suncín. Our guide will share insights regarding this influential Salvadorean author and wife of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, shedding light on how this bond with El Salvador inspired the renowned French writer.
Subsequently, we’ll resume our journey through the refined residential neighborhoods of the city toward the Mirador del Águila. Following this, we’ll proceed to the historic district, where we will wander along the principal pedestrian path and observe the striking blend of modernity interwoven with historical charm.
We will arrive at Parque Libertad, where the enchanting El Rosario Church awaits, its interior design showcasing an extraordinary display of light. Following this, we will explore the National Library of El Salvador, spanning six floors of literary works and culminating in a visit to its terrace, where views of the National Palace of El Salvador and the Cathedral await.
Our journey continues to Parque Centroamérica and the El Calvario Church, two iconic locations illuminated at night. As we navigate towards Kilometre 0, the reference point for all distances measured in El Salvador, we will also pass the vibrant Hula Hula Market.
Finally, we will conclude our tour at the Plaza Francisco Morazán, where the historic Teatro Nacional, one of Central America’s oldest theaters inaugurated in 1917, stands tall. Here, you will have some leisure time to savor the local Salvadorean cuisine.
After approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes of exploration, we’ll begin our return journey to your hotel, concluding your evening with a fond farewell.
