2-Day Private Excursion to San José de Chiquitos & Chochís
Day 1
Your adventure begins at 8 am with a pickup from your hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra as we embark towards San José de Chiquitos.
As one of the key missionary reductions established by the Jesuits in the 17th century, this eastern Bolivian town boasts significant historical value. Upon arrival, a guided tour will introduce you to the local culture, including a visit to a workshop where traditional crafts are crafted.
As midday approaches, a traditional Chiquitano meal awaits at 12:30 pm, featuring a starter followed by a hearty main course. Following lunch, we will explore the Mission Church of San José and its affiliated museum, showcasing remarkable Hispanic religious architecture.
To conclude the first day, we'll enjoy a visit to Santa Cruz la Vieja Park, home to the remnants of the city’s initial foundation.
Day 2
After a restful night, breakfast will be served early at 7:30 am, followed by a drive through the scenic Chiquitania region towards Chochís.
This picturesque town has been recognized as a site of Bolivian Cultural and Natural Heritage. Upon our arrival, we will visit the Mariano de la Torre Sanctuary, a quaint chapel nestled at the base of Cerro Chochís that seamlessly integrates with its stunning natural backdrop.
Once we soak in the local culture, we'll proceed to the Los Hervores Spa. You'll have two hours of leisure time to enjoy the revitalizing hot springs. Afterwards, we will gather for lunch in the village of Roboré.
Our journey will then take us back to Santa Cruz de la Sierra, with an expected hotel return time around 10 pm.

This excursion includes one night’s stay at the Las Churapas Hotel (3 stars) located in San José de Chiquitos.
