Day 1: Santa Marta - Cartagena

We'll collect you from your Santa Marta hotel at the planned time to commence our two-day adventure to Cartagena de Indias. Are you ready to embark?

As we travel, we will pass through Barranquilla, famous for its vibrant Carnaval, making a brief stop for breakfast along the way. Our first destination will be a hotel where we can check in smoothly for the night.

Once settled, we’ll head to Barú, where a morning at Playa Blanca awaits, followed by a delightful traditional lunch from Cartagena. It’s the perfect chance to regain your energy! In the afternoon, we’ll return to Cartagena to settle into your accommodation for the night.

The evening will sparkle with a festive ride on a chiva bus through the modern side of Cartagena, making for an exciting conclusion to your first day! Afterward, you’ll have free time to savor dinner in the historic quarter of Getsemaní. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Day 2: Cartagena - Punta Arena - Santa Marta

Your second day will kick off with breakfast at the hotel. Following this, we’ll embark on a guided exploration of the key sites in this coastal gem of Colombia. Our first stop will be the imposing Castle of San Felipe de Barajas, where we’ll delve into the colonial history marked by enslavement in Cartagena.

Next, we’ll stroll toward the walled old town, reaching the Museo del Oro (Museum of Gold), which showcases over 600 artifacts of gold, silver, and ceramics from the Pre-Columbian period. As we meander through the charming streets of Cartagena, we will visit Plaza de San Pedro Claver Square and Plaza de Bolívar Square.

After enjoying a tasty lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll return to Santa Marta, where you should arrive back at your hotel by around 8 PM. Until next time!
