Buritaca & Quebrada Valencia Day Trip
After you are picked up from your Santa Marta hotel, we will head towards one of the most remarkable protected areas in northern Colombia: Tayrona National Natural Park.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a hike through lush tropical forests. This 25-minute trek allows you to appreciate the rich biodiversity firsthand and learn about the various species of flora and fauna that inhabit this beautiful locale.
Following our hike, prepare to take a rejuvenating dip in the waterfalls and natural pools of Quebrada Valencia. The river meanders down from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, cutting through vibrant green scenery as it flows.
Our journey will conclude in the picturesque coastal village of Buritaca, situated at the river's mouth. This Caribbean destination boasts a beautiful beach where you will have some leisure time to swim and enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants.
In the later part of the day, we will return to Santa Marta and drop you off at your accommodation. We hope to see you again soon!
Guachaca River
During the rainy season, the itinerary will alter, replacing the visit to Quebrada Valencia with a delightful swim in the Guachaca River.
This itinerary adjustment will be effective from late March to early June, and again from late September to early December.

Important information
We'll pick you up at the scheduled time from your accommodation in Santa Marta. Please be ready in the hotel reception 10 minutes early.
Changes to the schedule
If you're going on the day trip in the rainy season, the visit to Quebrada Valencia will be substituted for a dip in the Guachaca River.
This change to the itinerary will take place from the end of March to the beginning of June and from the end of September to the beginning of December.
