Day Trip to Buritaca & Quebrada Valencia

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Santa Marta hotel, followed by a scenic drive to one of Colombia's most remarkable protected areas—Tayrona National Natural Park.

Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to explore its vibrant tropical forests. A 25-minute hike will allow you to engage with this rich ecosystem, revealing the diverse species of flora and fauna that thrive in this natural paradise.

Next, you will be invited to take a rejuvenating swim in the natural pools and waterfalls of Quebrada Valencia. This river flows majestically from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, surrounded by lush greenery.

Your journey will culminate in the coastal town of Buritaca, located where the river meets the Caribbean. Here, you will have leisure time to wade in the sea and sample local cuisine at one of the nearby eateries.

For those traveling during the rainy season, the itinerary will adjust to include a refreshing swim in the Guachaca River instead of visiting Quebrada Valencia.

This modification will be in effect from late March to early June, and again from late September to early December.
