Your adventure begins at 6 am with a pick-up from your accommodation in Santa Marta, followed by our drive to Cartagena de Indias. As we travel through the picturesque Colombian landscape, we’ll enjoy a breakfast stop en route. After approximately 3.5 hours of travel, we will arrive at our destination. Welcome to Cartagena!

Upon arrival, we will follow the Caribbean coastline to explore the vibrant neighborhoods of Laguito, Castillo Grande, and Bocagrande. Did you know that Bocagrande offers inviting, sandy beaches? By around noon, we’ll visit the Convent of Santa Cruz de la Popa, perched on a hill rising 485 feet (148 metres) above sea level. Inside, you’ll admire its stunning Spanish-style courtyards and the renowned Church of Candelaria.

Next, we will return to the walled city for lunch at the popular "La Mulata" restaurant. The menu features fish soup, coconut rice, tostones, and salad. Afterwards, we’ll continue to the San Felipe de Barajas Castle, a remarkable fortress established in 1657, and an enduring symbol of the Spanish colonial era.

Following our visit to the castle, we will take a leisurely stroll through the commercial district of the city center. As we pass various Colombian handicraft shops, we will arrive at the Gold Museum. Join us inside for an enriching experience! Our route will also take us by the lively Plaza de Bolivar and the Plaza de San Pedro, two vibrant gathering spots in the city.

Finally, we will make our way back to Santa Marta, where we expect to arrive after another journey of 3.5 hours. We will then escort you back to your hotel, concluding our day together with fond farewells.
