Starting bright and early at 6:30 am, a minibus will collect you from your accommodation in Santa Marta, initiating our journey toward the western region of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty nearby the town of Ciénaga.

The first stop will be the mouth of the Sevilla River. Here, we will take a moment to observe the stunning flight of exotic birds overhead, including numerous cormorants, which thrive in this area. Make sure your cameras are prepared to capture these captivating moments!

With a bit of luck, we may even spot some Northern screamers, a critically endangered bird that plays a vital role in the ecosystem of Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta. Additionally, we'll explore the mangroves that line the lagoon, which serve as iconic representations of this rich habitat.

As noon approaches, there will be an opportunity to savor a traditional lunch featuring fresh fish sourced from the local area. After this delightful break, we will return by minibus to your hotel in Santa Marta, aiming to arrive around 2:30 pm.
