Day Trip Overview

Your experience begins when our team collects you from your hotel in Santa Marta. A scenic drive of about 45 minutes will take us to Minca, a quaint village located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada.

On arrival, indulge in a cup of coffee, a treasured export of Colombia, as we explore the coffee-making process. This globally adored drink will provide a fascinating insight into its history and preparation.

During the Minca journey, our next destination will lead us deep into the tropical forest, where you’ll enjoy a refreshing swim in the Minca River and can dive into the crystal-clear waters of a nearby waterfall. After soaking up these exhilarating experiences, we will savor a delicious lunch at a local eatery.

Following lunch, we will explore the town of Minca, where you will learn about the journey of cocoa beans from their raw state to delicious chocolate bars. Be ready to be amazed as we sample various cocoa types and try your hand at creating your very own chocolate bar.

In addition to our main stops, we’ll pass significant sites like the Casa Jocolate, Perpetuo Socorro Church, Minca Bridge, and the Oído del Mundo waterfall.

To conclude the day, we will take in the stunning panoramic vistas from a viewpoint before heading back to Santa Marta. Expect to return to your hotel around 9 hours after your pick-up.
