PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course in Santa Marta

Day 1: Theoretical Learning and Confined Water Practice

Your adventure commences at the designated hour when you will meet your instructor at the entrance of the Divanga Hostel in Santa Marta. The next step includes heading to the training facilities where you will receive your diving gear and engage in vital theoretical instruction pertaining to diving methodologies.

During this session, you will gain insights into the functioning of various diving equipment and how to properly don it, maintain your position underwater, manage the air tanks, and clear your mask of water. In addition, essential skills for underwater communication will be conveyed.

Following the theory, it's time to transition to the hotel pools to apply your newly acquired knowledge.

Days 2 & 3: Open Water Diving Experiences

The subsequent days will feature a total of 4 dives in the pristine waters of Tayrona Park. The Colombian Caribbean is ready to welcome you! Clad in your wetsuit, you will put your diving expertise into practice, rapidly adapting to the marine environment.

As you plunge into the crystal-clear waters off the Santa Marta coast, prepare to be amazed by the vibrant marine life that awaits you. Expect to encounter groupers, moray eels, gogo turtles, hawksbill turtles, and parrot fish!

At the culmination of the course, you will undertake a final assessment that will enable you to receive your official certification. With this credential, you’ll be authorized to dive to a maximum depth of 60 feet (18 meters) globally.
