Day Trip to El Colorado from Santiago
Prepare for an extraordinary day of skiing in the Andes! We will collect you from your accommodation in Santiago and embark on our journey eastward, learning interesting facts about the ski resort during the ride.
Our first stop will be at a rental shop, where you can acquire all necessary ski or snowboard equipment. Once equipped, we will proceed to a nearby café for you to enjoy breakfast at your leisure.
Rejuvenated and ready, we will continue driving, and after approximately 1.5 hours, we will reach El Colorado, recognized as one of the most notable ski resorts in the Andes mountain range.
At this winter sports destination, you will have around 8 hours of free time to explore the slopes and vibrant atmosphere at your own pace. The resort features various dining options where you can have lunch independently.
In the afternoon, we will reconvene for our return trip to your hotel in Santiago, concluding this 12- to 13-hour adventure.
El Colorado: A Skiing Haven in the Andes
The El Colorado ski resort is an excellent choice for families and those new to winter sports. It offers 40 km (25 mi) of slopes characterized by their wide, gentle, and safe terrain, perfectly suited for practicing your first skiing techniques.
The slopes are categorized as follows:
- 17 green slopes suitable for beginners
- 17 blue slopes for those with some experience
- 31 red slopes aimed at advanced skiers
- 33 black slopes reserved for experts
The El Colorado resort is also noted for its technical specifications:
- Highest point: 3480 m (11,417 ft) above sea level
- Vertical drop: 900-1140 m (2953-3740 ft)
- Total skiable area: approximately 1000 hectares (2471 acres)

We'll pick you up from the hotel you listed on your booking between 5 am and 6 am. This day trip includes hotel pickup from the following areas of Santiago de Chile:

The day before the excursion, around 9 pm, we'll contact you to confirm your pickup time and location.
Lift Pass Not Included
This day trip doesn't include meals, equipment rental, or admission to El Colorado ski resort. Here are the prices:
- Adults: 75000CLP in high season (weekends, holidays, and June 30 to July 17) and 68000CLP in low season
- Seniors over 65 and students aged 13 to 24: 59000CLP in high season and 52000CLP in low season
- Children under 12: free
Babies Info
Children under 2 travel free, as long as they sit on a parent's lap. If you've booked a baby car seat, there's an additional cost of 25000CLP per baby.
What to Bring
We recommend bringing sunscreen, water, snacks, a portable charger, sunglasses, and comfortable clothing suitable for the snow.
