Excursion to Isla Negra and Pomaire

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel at 8 am, followed by a drive to the stunning coastal region of Isla Negra.

Pablo Neruda had three residences in Chile, but Isla Negra was his most cherished. Here, you will visit the house designed to resemble a ship. Inside, a treasure trove of maritime memorabilia awaits, including figureheads, sailboat models, miniature boats encased in bottles, seashells, and whale teeth. Each item holds a special significance related to the poetry of the Nobel Laureate.

After uncovering the mysteries of Neruda’s final home, we will proceed to the cliffs behind the house, where you can pay your respects at the graves of the poet and his muse, Matilde Urrutia, set against a breathtaking view of the untamed Pacific.

On our return to Santiago, we will make a stop at Pomaire, a quaint village renowned for its artisan pottery. Here, you will gain insight into this traditional clay craft and marvel at the region's distinctive smooth, red-hued ceramic pieces. You will have some free time to enjoy a meal at one of the local eateries.

To conclude the day on a delightful note, we will visit Viña Undurraga, a historic winery. With over 130 years of dedication to winemaking, these pioneers invite you to sample their exceptional creations!

After an enriching day of exploration at Isla Negra and Pomaire, we will commence our return to Santiago, concluding the tour at approximately 4 pm back at your original pickup location.
