La Parva Hike

Prepare your trekking poles and wear your mountain boots as we embark on an exhilarating journey through the stunning vistas of La Parva, culminating at the summit of Cerro Pintor!

What to anticipate on the La Parva hike

Your day begins with an early hotel pickup as we set off towards La Parva, renowned as one of Chile's premier ski destinations.

After approximately 90 minutes of travel, we will arrive at the foothills of the Andes. Our drive will take us past several prominent winter resorts in the region until we reach the Commune of Lo Barnechea, where we pause for a delightful breakfast.

Once refreshed, we will resume our journey to La Parva. Upon arrival, our hiking adventure begins at the base of the El Águila chairlift. We will ascend towards the Piuquenes lagoon, situated at an altitude exceeding 11,000 feet. After savoring the breathtaking natural surroundings, we will continue our trek, reaching the summit of the stunning Cerro Pintor approximately five hours after departure. There, our guide will share the intriguing history behind the mountain's name.

After taking in the incredible panoramic views from the peak, we will descend to the mountain's base, where a picnic lunch awaits. Energized, we will hike back towards the ski center in La Parva and catch our bus back to Santiago, where you will be returned to your hotel.
