San Cristobal Hill Day Trip
Description
The Hill of San Cristobal stands out as a prominent recreational destination within the Metropolitan Park of Santiago, Chile. Join us on this enlightening journey to explore its rich history and breathtaking scenery.
?Details of the San Cristobal Hill Trip
Our adventure starts at the entrance on Pío Nono Street, where you'll receive a day pass granting access to the funicular, buses, and cable car within the Metropolitan Park.
Following a short overview of the park's background, we will embark on an exploration of one of its key attractions: San Cristobal Hill. Our first stop will be the sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated for its chapel and stunning religious sculptures.
Subsequently, we will ascend via the cable car to enjoy breathtaking panoramic vistas. This scenic route leads us to the Tupahue station, where a large pool shares the same name. After discussing its fascinating history, we will proceed to descend by bus or cable car to the Oasis station.
At this junction, a stroll around the station awaits, leading us into the beautifully designed Japanese Garden. Here, you will be enchanted by a floral display reminiscent of distant East Asian landscapes.
Our exploration of the hill concludes at the Japanese Garden. Should you wish, we can guide you back to the Oasis station.
Once there, with the transport pass provided earlier, you can freely explore San Cristobal Hill and other areas of the Metropolitan Park of Santiago at your leisure. Please remember, the park closes at 7 pm.
Within the park's confines, you will have the opportunity to experience various attractions, such as the zoo and the swimming pools of Tupahue and Antilen, all at your own pace.
