El Colorado Ski Resort Day Trip + Ski or Snowboard Lesson

Imagine sliding gracefully down the slopes of one of the premier ski destinations in South America. This day excursion to El Colorado offers the opportunity for a ski or snowboard lesson.

Activity Overview

Located in Santiago and eager for a winter escapade? We will convene at the designated meeting point, from where a brief drive will take us to a ski apparel rental location. Here, we will fit ourselves with essential gear, including gloves, trousers, a jacket, and ski goggles, to ensure a memorable experience at El Colorado. Ready to embark on this adventure? Let’s proceed!

After approximately 30 minutes on the road, we’ll arrive to find ourselves greeted by a pisco sour while taking in stunning views at the El Colorado ski resort, which sits at an altitude of over 2,500 m (8,202 ft). The breathtaking snowy peaks, lush pine forests, and crisp Andean air set the stage for a magical winter atmosphere.

Upon arrival, you’ll have the option to choose between skiing or snowboarding, with equipment provided on-site. After getting everything set up, you can indulge in 6 hours of leisure time at one of South America’s finest ski resorts. Notably, a 2-hour lesson with a qualified instructor is included, ensuring you learn the fundamentals and gain confidence on the slopes.

The resort boasts 50 kilometers (31 miles) of terrain across 112 varied runs, catering to all skill levels from beginners to experts. With 18 ski lifts at your disposal, including 2 double chairlifts, 3 triple chairlifts, and 12 surface lifts, you'll have convenient access to the slopes. For meals and refreshments, there are also 3 restaurants and a pub available for your convenience.

As the day comes to a close, we will regroup to return our gear and start the journey back to Santiago’s meeting point, concluding our adventure after a fulfilling 12 hours.

Available Options

During your booking, you will have the choice between two packages:

• Day trip without clothing rental: Snow apparel is not included in this option. You may bring your own equipment or rent it separately at the shop we visit.
• Day trip with clothing rental: This package includes all necessary snow clothing: gloves, boots, pants, a jacket, and goggles.
