Tour Overview
We will commence our walking tour at the designated time at the Mirador de los Arcos. Here, participants can admire the majestic arches of the 18th-century aqueduct, an exemplary representation of colonial engineering.
Our excursion will continue with a visit to the Pantheon of Illustrious Queretanos, which pays tribute to notable figures from the region. Next, we will explore the Santa Cruz Convent, revealing insights into the significance of the water courtyard, the terminus of the aqueduct, and its crucial function within the hydraulic infrastructure.
As we proceed, we'll encounter several of Querétaro's notable fountains, including the Pilar Fountain (the city's first), the Marqués Fountain located in Plaza de Armas, the Goddess Eve Fountain nestled in Zenea Garden, and the Neptune Fountain. Each of these fountains tells a unique story within the city's rich urban legacy.
Following this, a special visit to the Queretaro Museum of Art awaits us, where we will delve into the beauty of its remarkable baroque courtyard. After a brief overview to appreciate its delicate craftsmanship, we will continue to our concluding destination.
To wrap up this enriching journey, our final stop will be the Temple and Convent of Santa Rosa de Viterbo, a striking baroque site renowned for its artistic and spiritual importance. After four hours of exploration, we will conclude our tour here.
