Santorini Day Trip: Kamari, Oia, & Fira

Tour Overview

At the scheduled time, you will meet your guide at the Santorini Old Harbor to board a private boat heading to Athinios Port. This 30-minute journey by boat offers breathtaking views of the cliffs of Santorini, which are adorned with hardened lava. Upon reaching the port, an air-conditioned bus will be ready to commence your exploration of the island.

Following a drive of roughly 20 minutes, we will arrive at Kamari, renowned for its striking black volcanic sand beach. You will enjoy approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes of leisure time to swim in the Aegean, unwind in a coastal café, or leisurely walk along the promenade to admire the stunning volcanic landscape.

Next, we will continue our journey for about 40 minutes to the clifftop village of Oia, celebrated as Santorini’s most photographed destination. Here, you will have 1.5 hours of free time to explore its charming narrow streets, browse local shops, and capture stunning images of the blue-domed churches perched above the caldera.

After that, we will board the bus for a 25-minute trip to Fira, the energetic capital of Santorini. Your guide will escort you to the nearby Orthodox Metropolitan Church, just a 15-minute walk from your last stop, to help you locate the return route to the old port, concluding our time together after approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes. At this point, you can choose to head back to your ship or remain in town to shop, savor local cuisine, and further explore.

Return Information

Please note that this tour to Oia and Fira for cruise passengers does not provide transport back from Fira to the Santorini Old Harbor. You can opt to return via the cable car, which lasts 5 minutes; a scenic donkey ride of 20 minutes; or by descending the 600 stone steps, which takes approximately 30 minutes. Be aware that both the cable car and donkey ride incur a fee of 10EUR per person.
