Tour Overview
We will commence our journey by picking you up from your hotel in Semarang at the agreed-upon time, embarking on a scenic drive through Central Java lasting approximately 3 hours. Our first highlight will be Borobudur Temple, recognized as the most significant Buddhist monument globally.
Here, we will wander around this majestic structure, which features nine stacked platforms adorned with 504 statues of Buddha. While standing before this tribute, we will delve into the legends surrounding its creation. As we traverse the ancient pathway encircling the temple, you will discover why it holds the title of the most frequented Buddhist pilgrimage destination in Indonesia.
A mere ten minutes away, we will encounter the captivating Temples of Pawon and Mendut. As we admire their intricate stone designs, you will learn about the connections that bind these three sacred sites. Afterward, you'll have one hour to enjoy lunch at your leisure (meal not included).
After regrouping, we will head toward Prambanan, featuring a breathtaking array of more than 200 Hindu temples. Together, we will explore this stony city while uncovering the ambitions of the Sanjaya dynasty in creating the largest Hindu temple complex in existence. Before concluding this segment, we will visit the foundational stone, which dates back to the year 856.
Ultimately, we will drive you back to your hotel, bringing this exhilarating 10-hour excursion to a close.
Alternative Ending in Yogyakarta
At the time of reservation, there is an option to conclude your tour in Yogyakarta instead of returning to Semarang.
Notable Restrictions
Please be aware that currently, access to certain chambers of Prambanan Temple is restricted. Additionally, visitors to Borobudur Temple are only permitted on the first level of the monument.

Temple Tickets
The admission fees are not included in the price of this activity.
- Borobudur: you must purchase the ticket to Borobudur through this link: https://ticket.borobudurpark.com/en/
When purchasing the ticket, you must click on the option "BOROBUDUR TEMPLE - BUY TICKET", then click on "ORDER TICKET NOW", choose the option "FOREIGN TOURIST", and click on "BOROBUDUR TEMPLE STRUCTURE". Then, you'll need to select the date and choose the 11:30 time slot. You'll then need to select the "FOREIGN ADULT" ticket, fill out the form with your details, and pay.
Please note that the guided tour of the temples can only be carried out with an English-speaking guide who will be assigned to you at that time. Please note that, when getting the tickets, you'll be able to choose between tickets with or without access to the first floor.
Important: you have 3 months before the date of your trip to purchase your tickets. We recommend that you do not leave it until the last day, as availability is limited and you run the risk of not finding availability (there is no sale at the ticket office). Without a ticket, you'll be able to go up to the foot of Borobudur, but you won't be able to enter the temple.
