Seoul Full Day City Tour & Transport
Description
Experience the rich history of Seoul on this comprehensive sightseeing journey. Explore the city’s most significant temples, palaces, and historical landmarks.
Tour Overview
At the designated time, we will gather at your selected meeting location in Seoul. Our adventure begins at Jogyesa Temple, renowned as one of the nation’s key Buddhist sites.
Nestled in downtown Seoul, this temple, established in 1935, is held in high regard among Korean Buddhists. Are you curious about the ancient white pine tree that adorns its grounds? We will share the intriguing story behind it!
Our next stop is Gyeongbokgung Palace, where you’ll experience an extraordinary event: the changing of the guard ceremony. This unique ritual stands out from similar ceremonies across the globe, captivating visitors with its vibrant display of music and color.
After observing the changing of the guard, we will proceed to Gyeongbok Palace, a historical site that has witnessed centuries of Korean heritage while withstanding many of the nation's challenges.
Following this exploration, we’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. Refreshed, we will explore the art and craft markets in Insadong, a neighborhood that showcases fascinating souvenirs alongside contemporary galleries and traditional tea houses.
To deepen your understanding of this remarkable culture, we’ll ride the Namsan Cable Car, an iconic landmark providing breathtaking views of both Namsan Mountain and the heart of Seoul from over 600 meters (1,968.5 ft) up.
Our final stop will be Namdaemun Market, Korea’s largest traditional market, where you'll find a variety of quirky shops to tempt you. We will conclude our tour in either the City Hall or Myeongdong area, wrapping up four hours after we started.
8-Hour Journey
For those seeking a more detailed exploration of Seoul, opt for the 8-hour journey. After touring Gyeongbok Palace, we’ll make our way to the National Folk Museum, where you can discover the customs and traditions that define South Korean life.
The tour continues as we pass by the Blue House, the official presidential residence, and you will quickly see why it carries that name. Next, we’ll visit the Ginseng Center. We will also explore the historic Insadong district, offering you some free time for lunch after visiting the local markets.
With your hunger satisfied, we’ll journey to Seoul N Tower for a cable car ride, followed by more exploration at Namdaemun Market and City Hall, concluding the day eight hours later.
