Day Trip Details
Your adventure begins at 9 am, where we will meet you at designated locations in Seville and set out for the ancient Caliphal capital, Cordoba.
After a brief stop in Carmona, a picturesque white village within the Seville province, we will arrive in the stunning city of Cordoba. This city is one of the 15 in Spain recognized as a World Heritage Site.
A guided exploration of Cordoba's historic center awaits, featuring a pleasant stroll across the Roman Bridge, the old Jewish quarter, the Royal Stables, and a visit to the Synagogue (closed on Mondays). We will also pause to admire the vibrant courtyards of Cordoba, perfect for capturing beautiful photographs.
Once you have explored the old town, you will have the freedom to enjoy lunch at your own pace, guided by the recommendations provided by your tour guide. Following lunch, you will have 30 to 45 minutes to shop or wander at your leisure.
In the afternoon, a guided visit to the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba will showcase its exquisite golden mosaics and intricate designs of the numerous arches as well as the mihrab, the area that designates the direction of Mecca. This stunning monument will leave you in awe as you appreciate its rich contrasts, highlighting why it stands as the pinnacle of Western Islamic artistry.
After concluding the guided tour of the Mosque-Cathedral, we will return to the meeting points in Seville, with an expected arrival time around 7 pm.
It is important to note that we can guarantee an English-speaking guide within the Mosque-Cathedral only if the group reaches a specified size. Otherwise, the local provider may offer an alternative language group or suggest using an audio guide. The rest of the tour will be conducted in English.
