Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium Tour
Description
If you are a football enthusiast, consider embarking on this guided visit to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium in Sevilla, where you can delve into the rich history of this renowned venue.
The Legacy of Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán
Initially known as the old Nervión, this stadium served Sevilla FC from 1928 until 1958. It wasn't until September 7 of the latter year that it acquired its current name.
This venue, constructed atop the former football field, has evolved to meet modern football standards. It has been the backdrop for numerous triumphs, as well as moments of disappointment for the club. A noteworthy detail: the Spanish national team remains undefeated here, boasting 20 victories and 5 draws.
Exploring Sevilla FC Stadium
Your journey through the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium starts at Entrance 2. Did you know it accommodates 43,883 spectators? This places it among the top 10 largest stadiums in Spain, specifically ranking ninth.
Upon entry, you will have the opportunity to navigate this historical sports arena at your own pace, using an audio guide on your smartphone. Your first stop will be the Sevilla FC Museum, showcasing the impressive collection of trophies, which includes 7 Europa League titles, 5 Copa del Rey victories, as well as a league championship and a UEFA Super Cup.
Continuing the tour, you will access the anteroom area and VIP box, leading you towards the press room. From here, you'll make your way to the changing room, a space designated for players to gather pre-game, during halftime, and at the conclusion of the match. From the changing area, an exit tunnel grants you access to the playing field, allowing you to envision yourself as a Sevilla FC player.
After approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of exploration, the tour will conclude at the designated meeting point.
