Day Trip to Petra

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh to begin this excursion. Are you ready?

We'll arrive at the Nuweibaa port, around two hours away on the Sinai Peninsula, where we'll climb aboard the ferry which will take us to Aqaba, approximately a two-hour journey.

Upon arriving in Aqaba, we'll board a bus for a two-hour trip to Petra. While there, we'll visit the Petra archaeological site, the ancient capital of the Nabataeans. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is most famous for 'The Treasury' (Al Khazneh), a stunning temple carved into the sandstone rock. This site is notably featured as the resting place of the Holy Grail in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

We'll also explore the remains of the amphitheatre and the Corinthian tomb, genuine archaeological treasures in the Jordanian desert. You'll learn about the Nabataean civilization and the importance of this location for both Romans and Arabs throughout history, illustrated by the incredible stories preserved in every stone.

After concluding our visit to the archaeological site, we'll refuel with an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch in Petra.

Once lunch is done, we'll board the bus to return to the Aqaba port, where we'll take the ferry back to Nuweibaa on the Sinai Peninsula. From there, a bus will take us back to your hotels, with an estimated arrival time around 10 PM.
