After roughly an hour and a half of travel, we will reach our destination, prepared to delve into this site abundant in temples and remnants of Buddhism. It’s notable that Anuradhapura served as the capital of the Sinhalese kingdoms for over a millennium!

Spanning an impressive 40 square kilometers, the monumental zone of Anuradhapura offers numerous captivating sites to explore. Highlights include the Isurumuniya Vihara temple renowned for its exquisite stone carvings, the revered Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi tree, the pristine Ruvanvelisaya Dagoba, and the significant Samadhi Buddha sculpture, all waiting for your discovery.
