Habarana Excursion

Your adventure begins at 10 am with a pickup from your hotel in Sigiriya, followed by a scenic half-hour drive to the town of Habarana.

Upon arrival, we'll transition from a tuk tuk to a charming ox-drawn cart, a traditional mode of transport that will take us to the banks of Habarana Lake. Here, we will disembark from the cart and board a boat for a serene ride across the tranquil waters of this picturesque reservoir.

Following the enjoyable boat ride, we will explore rice fields and witness firsthand the cultivation process of Asia's staple cereal grain. Walking through these sprawling fields will surely be a memorable experience!

Continuing our journey, we'll head back to central Habarana to join a local family who will guide us in the preparation of some of their traditional dishes. After the cooking session, we'll indulge in a delicious buffet lunch featuring rice, curry, fish, salad, and papadam.

When the excursion concludes, you will be returned to your hotel in Sigiriya, with an expected arrival time of 1:30 pm.
