Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Sigiriya. A scenic two-hour ride in a minibus will transport you to your destination.

Upon arrival at the park, we'll secure our entry tickets and transition to a convertible-roof 4x4 vehicle. This open vehicle is ideal for fully engaging with the surroundings and observing wildlife during our safe safari.

Wilpattu National Park stands as the largest nature reserve in Sri Lanka and boasts a remarkable array of native species. Throughout the safari, you'll likely encounter elephants, jackals, deer, wild boar, and, with a bit of luck, you might see one of the most captivating animals of Sri Lanka, the leopard.

Interestingly, Wilpattu translates to "land of lakes". Aside from incredible mammals, this national park is also a sanctuary for various water birds and reptiles, including crocodiles and multiple types of snakes.

After a fulfilling 7-hour exploration, we will head back to the park entrance, where the minibus will be ready to return you to your hotel in Sigiriya. The entire experience concludes approximately 11 hours after we set out.

National Park Entrance Fee

Please note that the entry fee for Wilpattu National Park is not included in the tour price. On the day of the activity, this fee must be paid at the park's ticket office, amounting to 45 USD per person.
